I had one of those rare moments at the weekend. I decided to sort my wardrobe out. I say wardobe, when what I mean is wardrobe, hall closet, chest of drawers and any other space that I can squeeze some clothes into.
The main reason for my cleanse was because I didn’t have anything to wear.
Well 19 vest tops, 13 cardigans, 6 jumpers, 16 tops, 17 skirts, 6 pairs of jeans, 3 pairs of trouses, 7 pairs of shorts, 4 gym bottms, 2, gym jumpers, 3, gym tops, 3 pairs of tracksuit bottoms, 4, pj bottoms, 2 pj tops, 1 football top, 16 coats, 3 legginga and 46 dresses later I realised I had plenty to wear.
That is 171 items of clothing and looks somthing like this

And this

Having established that I had plenty to wear, but not a lot that I actually wanted to wear, I went through my piles of clothes. I ruthlessly got rid of everything that I had not worn (and still had labels in them), was not going to wear again and had holes in. This turned out to be 5 bin bags of unwanted clothes.
What I ended up with was this

And this

That is 7 vest tops, 5 cardigans, 0 jumpers, 5 tops, 2 skirts, 2 pairs of jeans, 0 pairs of trousers, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 gym bottms, 1, gym jumpers, 2, gym tops, 2 pairs of tracksuit bottoms, 1, pj bottoms, 1 pj tops, 1 football top, 11 coats, 1 leggings and 19 dresses.
Could have probaly got rid of a bit more but it is much better.
I know what clothes I have and what I need to replace. Note how I said replace and not buy more of.
It really is a wonderful feeling not needing to buy random items of clothing. All I need to do is replace my skinny jeans and my blazer jacket.
Next I need to tackle my shoes!?!
I do believe you have been Gokked! I did this too and it’s so easy to get dressed in the morning now I can see everything colour-coordinated hanging up or folded neatly in either my “vest tops and tunics to go with leggings” or “tshirts and top tops” drawers. I also have one drawer of jeans, jeans shorts and harem pants. Wardrobe cleansing rules!
